PETER
It's me. It's always me. My mother hated me.
(beat)
I saw a man on the next block wearing a bra and going from can to can, sampling
everybody's garbage. He didn't have a tongue. If he's not full, he might want
those tongue sandwiches. I think his name is Bob. I think it's Bob because
I called him Jesus once and he didn't answer. I have to go. The police come
around at ten and chase everybody out. They'll hit you with a baton if you
don't leave fast enough. I got a leg cramp once, so I couldn't get up as fast
as they wanted me to. Thwack. Guy was late for watching pro wrestling at the
bar around the corner. Thwack. Hurt like a bitch for a month. I'm thirty.
My body feels like it's seventy. What time is it?
